The Teamsters are known as the champion of freight drivers and warehouse workers, but have organized workers in virtually every occupation imaginable, both professional and non-professional, private sector and public sector.
The goal of the Teamsters Joint Council 25 Women’s Committee is to strengthen positive representation for Teamster women throughout the union. The committee is encouraged to organize Teamster initiatives and coordinate Teamster activities, including regular support of charitable organizations and training opportunities for rank-and-file members.
TNBC and its chapters play a major role in the battle to end discrimination against blacks in hiring, classifications, promotions, pay and related issues of employment. TNBC’s goal is to expand black roles in all employment-related activities.
The Chicago Teamsters Hispanic Caucus is a non-profit organization dedicated to serve the various communities in which the organization’s members live by assisting and promoting the interest of Hispanic Teamsters and the International Brotherhood of Teamsters, and to promote those interests on the local, state & national level.
